Our project was conceived in Chile back in 2015 and a Chilean company (Energia Vectorial SpA) was formed that originally sought worldwide IP protection (PCT) for our EMI/MHD concept. EVUS was incorporated in 2017 as a US C-Corp by Energia Vectorial and the US Founders, and all the IP was subsequently assigned to EVUS. Incorporated as a Delaware corp, EVUS established New Mexico as its Main Place of Business. Our technology has been successfully tested for over 5 years at lab scale, and extensive background research has confirmed the effectiveness of our designs. We have committed to long trials using seawater heat exchangers and also with a brackish water Desalination Plant with well recognized Universities and Research Centres worldwide which allow us to approach first tier global manufacturers and builders to explore manufacturing / licensing / distribution agreements.
EVUS EMF-MHD Anti-Fouling will become the standard anti-fouling pre-stage device for the Water Treatment and Heat Transfer Industry. EVUS will contribute to make Water Desalination and Water reclamation more affordable, since it will improve the overall energy efficiency, the plant uptime and longer duration of the filtration elements. Marine Heat Exchanger manufacturers will strongly recommend the use of an EVUS EMF-MHD device as an ideal add-on to keep heat transfer effectiveness and ensure an optimum life-cycle-cost and uptime for the heating / cooling plant. EVUS technology will be licensed to first tier heat-exchanger and large cooling-tower manufacturers, while EVUS will be assembling its own units to reach US medium sized cooling tower customers through distribution partners.
EVUS has developed a unique Anti Scaling/Fouling device by combining Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) and Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) in a compact size equipment. EVUS MHD extended cells are capable of re-arranging most of water dissolved salts through a nucleation-crystallization-precipitation process, resulting in a highly effective anti-scaling/fouling method that is also eco-friendly (clean) and continuous. Most important markets are water-based heat transfer systems (as in maritime shipping, thermal power plants, cooling towers) and pre-filters for water treatment plants (as in Desalination and Wastewater Plants, Industrial water reclamation), all systems in need of a clean and effective anti-fouling solution to allow them to reduce energy consumption (and CO2 footprint), to avoid harmful discharges to the oceans and to reduce plant downtimes required for long and costly mechanical cleanings.
